Silver State South Solar Plant

Silver State South Solar Project is a 350MW solar project constructed in Primm, Nevada, on the Nevada/California border, 40 miles south of Las Vegas. Taney Engineering provided plans and estimates for the entire 3000-acre site. One of the unique features is the complex drainage system consisting of a full perimeter fence, a weir from the north to the south end of the property line to direct the flow of water toward a retention basin that released the water under the road on the other side of the of property. Taney Surveying provided an ALTA survey and topographic mapping update for the USGS mapping that had not been updated since 1935. Surveying Services consisted of Topographic Surveys (Multiple locations), Aerial Topographic Survey, Easement Map, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey – Section 2, 3, 35 & 36, 34 & 35, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey – Future Site, and Miscellaneous Construction Staking – Tortoise Relocation Area Fencing.
